Applying for Membership

Membership of the Association is £20 a year payable by standing order. (There is currently a one year free membership offer, as noted in PBO)

Please read the terms and conditions!

Note: When you click on the "Apply for Membership" or "Register" buttons for the first time, you will see a screen asking for you to enter your Email, Username, Password and some other things. Please use your boat name as "username, as this helps on the Map page. The password should be at least 6 characters long. It is VERY important that you put some real reasons why you wish to join in the “Why do you want to join” box. This allows us to stop spambots from applying to join and swamping the site. Please put something interesting in there about your boat, crewing or the like so that we know you are a real sailor.

Lastly, you will also need to solve a very simple jigsaw puzzle to prove you are not a computer. When this is completed, and you have ticked all the boxes, you should get a green tick in the jigsaw and the application will be processed. If you have anything wrong, the page will reset and should shoow in red where something was wrong (usually the password is too short or the duplicate passowrd does not match). You will have to redo the jigsaw puzzle again to get complete the form.

After completing and sending in the membership form the site will send you an automated response email from the site, to let us know
that your email address is real!. It is very important that as part of the application you reply to the automated email from us. This sometimes gets caught in spam or junk filters, if so, please ensure that emails from the association are allowed through to your inbox, or else we will not be able to send you emails, or even process your application.

Further advice on the application process can be found by clicking here

Once you have replied to the automatic message the humans take over and it can take about a week to process your application, but please email me if it is taking too long.

Full Instructions on how to use the website can be downloaded here.
